Before you take any step in your legal dispute, whether it involves a potential civil trial matter, divorce, or bankruptcy, you should seek quality legal advice and counsel: not just any advice, but qualified guidance from an attorney who has specific experience in the area of law at issue and proven skill. Over the past five (5) years, Russell H. Hippe, III has secured exceptional results for clients in numerous general civil trial matters in state and federal courts crossing a multiple legal disciplines, including trademark infringement actions, federal RICO actions, breach of contract actions, complex business disputes, fraud cases, real estate cases, and divorce and family law matters. He also has extensive experience in bankruptcy matters, both consumer and business.

The best attorney for you to hire may not be the most expensive but will be the attorney that can first give you an honest, informed assessment of the case, an expectation of the probable result, as well as an honest estimate of cost, combined with a proven ability to win. This is why it's critical to get a sound legal consultation and sound advice from a quality attorney like Mr. Hippe before you make an investment in the prosecution or defense of any case. If you have been served with a suit, it's critical to contact an attorney immediately (you may only have 21 days (federal) or 30 days (state) to file your answer). If you take your legal advice from Mr. Hippe, you will receive the most honest and candid advice and counsel available, whether you are a plaintiff or defendant. Many firms claim to offer the best advice, but sometimes they are driven by their own financial motives rather than the long term financial interests of the client.

Mr. Hippe has a busy schedule, and his time is valuable. As such, he charges the following consultation fees for extensive, in depth consultations (up to 3 hours): Complex Business Litigation Including Lanham Act and Trademark Infringement - $500; General Business Disputes or Divorce or Family Law Matters - $300; General Trial Matters - $300; Bankruptcy Consultations - $200. The fee is due at the time of the consultation. There is no better investment. (Free consultations are often a "light weight" waste of the attorney's and client's time or, worse, a platform for the attorney to promote an engagement.)

When you engage Mr. Hippe for a consultation you can expect that:

  • During the consultation he will review and explain any documents that you bring in that are relevant to the case that you wish him to consider. Often times, he will take over a case from another attorney, so bringing in an entire case file is not uncommon.
  • He will, before making a recommendation, consider your legal matter in depth and analyze your options to advise the best course of action. This may be to file suit immediately or defend aggressively and push for trial, or this may be to defer and reserve resources or offer a settlement. All counsel given during the consultation is protected by the attorney – client privilege.
  • Although Mr. Hippe cannot guarantee a result, he will provide, based on the facts as he understands them before he is personally involved, a forecast of a greater than 50/50, a 50/50, or less than 50/50 chance of success.
  • Offer an educated estimate of the total cost and seek a financial arrangement that makes sense given the client's resources, including a possible expense cap, flat fee, or set periodic payment arrangement. (Mr. Hippe is generally not willing to deviate from his minimum requested trial practice rate of $195/hour but a "scope of work" can be defined.)
  • Set reasonable and proper client expectations, including an expected budget.
  • If the case proceeds, set reasonable and proper deadlines for work product.
  • When you seek legal advice from The Law Office of Russell H. Hippe, III, you get the top, most honest, legal advice available. Russell Hippe's main goal is to help you do what is best in your long term financial interest.
Contact us to schedule an appointment for a face to face consultation. All consultations must be by appointment and will be in Mr. Hippe's office on W. Wieuca Road next to Chastain Park in N. Buckhead. 91 West Wieuca Road, Suite A4000, Atlanta, GA 30342. A consultation secures attorney – client privilege but does not obligate Mr. Hippe to proceed with a case or defense. His counsel may be that he does not recommend the investment or that he does not desire to handle the matter.
